Personal Background

Marks past global experience from the world of tennis, has given him invaluable skills that have been integrated into the business and property realm of his life today. These skills include: great communication; team direction; being coachable; determination; endurance; persistence; patience; and an overwhelming sense of achievement as he championed as a representative of Australia in Davis Cup which began in 1984 as the Australian ranked No 1 Juniors Singles tennis champion, winning Australian, Wimbledon, US Open singles, along with doubles acclaim, winning the French, Wimbledon & US Open. Later Mark went on to become a Tennis Coach and a Director of Tennis at many levels, including coaching Jennifer Capriati on her road back to No 1.

Business Background

Mark has long been involved in business, graduating from a Bachelor of Business degree majoring in administration from California Coast University, Santa Ana, California in 1995. Since then, Mark has owned and successfully run Windera Station, which is a 5000 acre agri business in Windera, Qld which specializes in beef cattle, cropping and timber.

Mark also plays a significant part as Director of Finance in his wife’s business which is a well-known ladies shoe brand doing $2M+ in wholesale sales p.a. Currency fluctuations are a huge risk in importing and Mark successfully manages and hedges currencies more than 6 months in advance. This skill was learned as a trader for Live Trader Global whilst the family resided in Hong Kong between 2003-2009.

During Mark’s time in Hong Kong he successfully formed a business and personal relationship with Tim Murphy head of IP Global, a firm that now does US$750,000,000 in global real estate sales p.a. Part of Mark’s strategy for this project is to offer 30-40% of the building for sale to expats and investors through this network. This key strategy almost ensures a high sales velocity which will speed up the whole project and exit.

Property Experience

Since 1997 Mark has gained a great deal of experience working on many developments as a cash flow/project manager, throughout South East Queensland. More recently Mark branched out into his own developments with successful land subdivisions, townhouse and multi storey residential developments. These projects are currently being successfully completed and as a result, Mark has entrenched a strong reputation for high quality leadership and project management skills, based on his established industry contacts and the natural ability to pull together the best team for each project, achieving solid profits for all key stakeholders.
